Hello again world, and Happy Chinese New Year!

One year ago today I launched this blog upon an unsuspecting public to catalogue my modern musings and give me space to present some of my creativity and thoughts in a sort of “take it or leave it” way. I think you’ll agree we’ve come quite the distance since then!
If you have a look at the “About Me” page, you’ll find that old description still applies in full, and so it remains.

Since I began my Flickr account at around the same time last year, I’ve uploaded 1,276 items, and since I bought a “Pro” account, I’ve logged about 3,000 views. Unsurprisingly, my most popular photo has been a terrible cellphone picture I uploaded of a half-naked leather-daddy at The Black Party Expo.
Google Analytics tells me that I’ve logged 5,421 Absolute Unique Visitors and 8,049 Total Visits, with 13,506 Pageviews since the blog began. The visitors use Safari and Firefox primarily, each with about 2,500 views, and IE and Chrome next, with about 1,300 views each. Mobile devices are well represented, primarily iPhone and Android, including about 50 views from iPad (no doubt a good portion of these are from me checking my site in every Apple store I enter).
Much to my surprise, my two most popular blog posts have been…
2,983 Pageviews: http://www.dchubbard.com/2010/05/11/the-roundup-51110-classic-cars-canonets-charles-busch-and-croissants/
1,291 Pageviews: http://www.dchubbard.com/2010/03/10/pentax-645d-medium-format-accessibility/
…and perhaps a bit less of a surprise in third place:
722 Pageviews: http://www.dchubbard.com/2010/06/27/a-quick-note-on-pride/
I actually consider these three posts to be unexceptional in terms of content and style.
Anyhow, it’s all a bit fascinating and leaves me more than satisfied. Since I’ve been traveling, I’ve watched my average visits per day rise steadily (thanks to you!), so here’s hoping we continue the trend.
Otherwise, I’m afraid I don’t have much time today to do anything radical with the site. In any case, thank you so much for coming, I hope you continue to find the site and my ramblings interesting, and I hope to stimulate you a bit more as I decide to become just the teensy-weensiest bit more radical in my posts.
